The Traditional Brush and Roller Method
While brushing and rolling work beautifully on drywall, applying paint to cabinets this way often leaves behind visible brush strokes, roller stipple (texture), and uneven pools of paint around detailed trim profiles. It is a slow process that struggles to achieve a true "factory-new" look.
High-Volume, Low-Pressure (HVLP) Spraying
We utilize state-of-the-art HVLP (High-Volume, Low-Pressure) spray technology for all cabinet doors and drawer fronts. HVLP works by atomizing the paint into a fine, controlled mist, laying down a perfectly uniform, micro-thin layer of coating. Resulting in a mirror-smooth, ultra-sleek finish with absolutely zero brush marks, drips, or texture. Completely mimicking the look of high-end, brand-new custom cabinetry straight from the manufacturer.
How long does a professional kitchen cabinet painting project take?
A standard kitchen cabinet project typically takes 4 to 5 business days. We spend the first day labeling, removing doors/drawers, and masking off your kitchen. The bases are prepped and sprayed on-site, while the doors and drawers are taken to our specialized shop environment to be sprayed via HVLP. We return on the final day to reassemble everything perfectly.
Will the paint chip or peel off easily over time?
Not when it is done by professionals. Chipping and peeling occur when DIYers or cut-rate painters spray standard wall paint directly over dirty, unsanded wood. We use heavy-duty, factory-grade urethane acrylic coatings explicitly formulated for cabinetry. Combined with our deep degreasing and precision sanding, our finishes cure to a rock-hard shield that resists chips and scratches.
Do you paint the inside of the cabinet boxes?
As a standard practice, we paint the exterior face frames, side panels, and the front and back of all doors and drawer faces. The interior shelves and boxes are left in their original wood or laminate finish, as painting them is rarely visible when closed and can reduce storage durability. However, if you have glass-front cabinets, we absolutely paint those interior sections to match!
Can you hide or fill deep wood grain, like heavy oak?
Yes, we can. Oak has a very deep, porous grain pattern. If you prefer an ultra-smooth, flat modern look rather than seeing the natural wood texture under the paint, we can apply an advanced wood-grain pore filler to your doors and frames, sanding it perfectly flush before we apply our primer and topcoats.
What kind of paint or coating do you use for bathroom vanities?
Bathroom vanities face constant exposure to water, high humidity, cleaning chemicals, and cosmetics. Because of this, we utilize water-reducible polyurethane or specialized acrylic alkyd enamels. These coatings look as elegant as traditional oil paint but provide superior moisture resistance and do not yellow over time.
